Addendum to 2 months

After the incredibly wonderful adventure with Simon and Jaya's dreamy wedding we visited our old friend Rohit and new friend Ranjana (recently married!)

Rohit and Paloma got along swimmingly...I think Paloma may have an ear fro REM now!
We were all so very happy to meet Ranjana and to see how happy that she and Rohit have made each other.
We'll definitely have to make more trips to Chicago...Rohit and Ranjana we miss you already!
More to come soon...Paloma was baptized today with special friends and family coming from far away and we've got some good photos of her special day. She's looking forward to her visit to The Golden State later this week!

2 Months!!!

Last weekend Paloma took her first airplane trip to Chicago for the occasion of Simon and Jaya's wedding.

The celebration was an opportunity to meet lots of old and new friends.

"Cousin" Lucas is one of her first admirers at the Sangeet the first night (A sangeet is the traditional pre-wedding dinner, dancing, henna decoration and celebration.)

"Uncle" Amer was very pleased to make her acquaintance as well. We're very happy for him -- he's now engaged to be married next year... see how he glows!


The wedding provided an AMSA reunion...here from left to right Eliot, Travis, Paloma, Simon, Dave, Amer, and Paul...










The following morning we were up bright and early -- Paloma was all dressed up here and ready to go!

The Greek Orthodox ceremony was enjoyed by all including Paul and Isaac, and Helen and Lucas...(Isaac and Lucas are our Godsons!).

After our fill of Greek dancing, we headed out to the beautiful Hindu ceremony. Here Travis is fulfilling his duties as part of the Baraat (part of the Groom's party.)

Paloma's a really good sleeper -- she slept through most of the weekend's events.

Afterwards, she was yet ready for more back at the hotel.










While in Chicago we took advantage of the opportunity to visit with our windy-city friends -- Rohit and his lovely newly wed Ranjana, and Kate and Joel.

Rohit's pictures are all on his camera and hopefully on the way shortly!
